Local ministry background:
Adriana comes from a nonbelieving family. She received the knowledge of God from her believing grandmother in her childhood, but God and faith were never openly discussed at home. She was invited to church by a friend she had met in high school. She began attending a drama club where they performed various Bible stories. Then she visited a meeting of local Christian youth, experienced God’s grace, and saw purpose in God’s message.
The most powerful impulse for surrendering her life to God was when she experienced God’s healing power for herself. Since then, she has been an active member of the local church (the Baptist church in Ostrava city).

In the autumn of 2023, Adriana joined the team of HY Workers of the non-profit organization so called the Spider’s web. She started helping out in a low-threshold club. Gradually she became involved in a team organizing the adaptation school retreats and program at local primary schools. She cooperates closely whit Ivo Neuvirt and Radmila Lukova – colleagues, who are also involved in the Healthy Youth ministry program of INCZ. They are actively involved in the development of the HY ministry in their region.

As a part of her follow-up activities, Adriana is in charge of communication with children via social networks. She is also involved in a wide range of club and leisure projects of their non-profit organization.

More about programs

How she became a HY Worker:
Adriana has many years of experience working with children and youth. As an active member of Sokol (Czechoslovak sports organization), she has been involved in organizing various events for children and youth for years. She has been a leader at children’s camps, animator and coordinator of a project of leisure clubs for children and youth, etc.

She would like to show today’s young generation an alternative to the consumerist and shallow values of contemporary society through HY ministry.
As she says: “As part of the programs in schools, we want to show children a view of the world through Christian values as an alternative to the consumer values of today’s society.
The motivation for my ministry is a personal relationship with God and the desire that as many young people as possible can hear the Gospel.”
